A good mattress can last a long time, and the foundation you pair it with should, too. That’s why we use durable hardwood and oversized, sag-resistant slats to ensure our foundation offers the support you and your mattress need.

Solid platform beds and bunkie boards stifle airflow and cause heat retention. We designed our slats so they’re wide enough to offer durable support but still far enough apart to keep air flowing out of the bed.

Our Vaya Platform Bed pairs well with our Vaya mattress models, but it can even work with any mattress type. Whether you have a foam, hybrid, or innerspring mattress, our Vaya Platform Bed fits the bill.

We offer free shipping on all Vaya Platform Beds delivered within the lower 48 states. Your platform bed will usually leave our facility within 3-5 business days. From there, it will arrive at your home via FedEx with curbside delivery within 1-5 business days.

Please note: All orders shipping outside of the continental U.S. will need to be delivered to a freight forwarder you choose and coordinate with. Customers would handle all communications and costs with the freight forwarder.

Is a platform bed better than a box spring?

This depends on the type of mattress you want to support. Box springs were most popular when innerspring beds dominated the mattress industry. Now that many sleepers are switching over to all-foam and hybrid beds, they’re changing up how they support their mattresses, too.

Platform beds offer more solid, sturdy support than a box spring since box springs contain a system of bouncy coils. The coil systems within box springs complement the coils in innersprings, but they can actually cause damage to foam beds. For that reason, many mattress manufacturers require sleepers to swap their box spring for a more modern foundation.

So in other words, box springs are OK when used with innerspring beds, but platform beds are better for supporting memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses.

Do you need any tools to assemble the Vaya Platform Bed?

Nope! The Vaya Platform Bed assembles in minutes with no tools required.

To put our foundation together, simply slide the four side rails and two center supports into place. Next, lay the mattress slats on top of the assembled frame. Then you’re all ready to set your mattress up on the bed frame!

What is the Vaya Platform Bed made of?

We use a solid hardwood for our foundation’s side rails, center supports, and slats to provide durable, sturdy support and prevent mattress sagging. The rails of our foundation are upholstered in a charcoal gray polyester fabric to give the frame a modern look.

Does the Vaya Platform Bed work with an existing bed frame?

The Vaya Platform Bed is designed as an all-in-one mattress support and bed frame, so it does not fit within other frames. The legs on our foundation cannot be removed so the frame works as a stand-alone piece of furniture.

Does the Vaya Platform Bed come with a sleep trial or warranty?

The Vaya Platform Bed does not qualify for exchanges, returns, or our 100-night sleep trial since it pairs with any mattress type and not just our Vaya beds. Even though our foundation does not come with a sleep trial, it is backed by a 1-year full-replacement warranty.
