We want you to have as much time as possible to try out your mattress, so your trial doesn't begin until it arrives at your doorstep.

Your mattress ships compressed in eco-friendly packaging. When it arrives, unroll it and let it expand for at least 4-6 hours before sleeping on it. Note it can take up to 24 hours for the mattress to fully expand.

Getting used to pure comfort

While first impressions are important, it’s how you sleep long-term that matters most. We require that you try your mattress for at least 30 nights but we generally recommend sleeping on it for 60 days to really see whether or not it works for you.

What items qualify for the 100 night sleep trial?

Both our mattress models, the all-foam Vaya and Vaya Hybrid, come with a 100-night, risk-free sleep trial.

However, all other non-mattress items including the pillow and platform bed are final sale and are ineligible for returns.

What mattress foundation do you recommend?

Our Vaya mattress is designed to work with most mattress foundations, including solid foundations, slatted foundations, platform beds, and adjustable bases. If you choose a slatted foundation to pair with your Vaya, double-check to ensure the slats are no more than 3 inches apart. Wide gaps between slats can cause your mattress to sink, and as a result, sags and indentations can form.

Can I use my box spring with the Vaya?

Pairing your Vaya with a box spring can void your warranty, as box springs are known to cause damage to foam beds. However, if you have a box spring at home and would like to continue using it, we suggest placing a bunkie board or a piece of ¾-inch moisture-resistant plywood on top of it. Doing this creates a solid, flat surface for your mattress to rest on.

How long will it take me to adjust to my new Vaya mattress?

Most Vaya customers enjoy pure comfort and better sleep from their very first night. But for some sleepers, it may take 30 to 60 days to fully adjust to your new mattress. (This is why we ask our customers to keep their mattress for a minimum of 30 nights before making a decision on returning.)

Chances are that you have been sleeping on your current mattress for years or decades. After so much time, your body is accustomed to the way your current mattress feels. And that means any change can cause you to lose sleep — even if you’re getting better support from your new bed.

So we recommend you give yourself at least a month to adjust to your new Vaya mattress. But don’t worry, you’re always protected by our Pure Comfort Promise. If you don’t love your Vaya mattress after the first 30 nights, just let our friendly support team know and they will help you find the right comfort solution or give you a fast and full refund.

Does the Vaya come with a “new mattress” smell?

The “new” smell associated with more than just mattresses (think new cars, a fresh layer of paint, etc.) is a result of off-gassing. While off-gassing is usually normal and goes away after some time, it can be unpleasant to deal with, especially when you’re trying to get some sleep.

To ensure our mattresses don’t cause this inconvenience, each of our beds is CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning they’re free from harmful chemicals and low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs). So, unlike many other mattresses, Vaya won’t have the same type of uncomfortable off-gassing.

How long is the Vaya mattress warranty?

Our Vaya warranty protects your mattress for the next decade, covering sags as small as 1.5 inches deep. If your mattress develops visible indentations greater than 1.5 inches deep, give us a call and we can replace your mattress.
